JUNIPER, ARCADIA (Juniperus Sabina ‘Arcadia’)  Ht. 2-3 ft., Spd. 6-10 ft.  Tolerates Full Sun, low water needs xeric.  Bright green lacy scale-like foliage, with a tiered horizontal habit.  Resistant to juniper blight. 

JUNIPER, BAR HARBOR  (Juniperus horizontalis ‘Bar Harbor’)  ht. 6-12 in., spd 6-10 ft.  Full sun, low water needs (xeric).  A low growing spreading form that hugs the ground.  Summer foliage is a soft gray-blue becoming a silvery plum color in winter. 

JUNIPER, BLUE CHIP  (Juniperus horizontalis ‘Blue Chip’) ht. 8-12 in., spd 6-10 ft.  Full sun, low water needs (xeric).  Blue foliage on a prostrate spreader with a high center.  The branchlets are upright giving a more feathery appearance.  The winter color is an attractive silvery plum-purple.

JUNIPER, BUFFALO  (Juniperus Sabina ‘Buffalo’)  ht. 1-2 ft., spd. 6-10 ft. Full sun, low water needs (xeric).  Feathery, bright green foliage.  Mounding habit.  A female which produces attractive blue berries.  Probably one of the most planted juniper on the face of the earth.

JUNIPER, CALGARY CARPET (Juniperus Sabina ‘Monna’)  Ht. 1-2 ft., Spd. 6-10 ft.  Tolerates full sun, low water needs xeric.  A low growing, broad spreading selection with light green, feathery foliage.  The branches radiate out form the center of the plat creating a spray effect.

JUNIPER, GOLD TIP (Juniperus chinensis ‘Pfitzeriana Aurea’)  ht. 5-8 ft., spd. 8-12 ft.  Full sun, low water needs (xeric).  Gray-green foliage with bright golden yellow new growth tips.  A larger and more arching juniper that Old Gold Juniper.  Color becomes yellow-green in winter

JUNIPER, GREEN SARGENT    ht. 2-3 ft., spd. 8-10 ft.  Full sun, low water needs (xeric).  Low spreading, densely branched.  A beautiful Juniper for our area.

JUNIPER, HOLBERT  (Juniperus chinensis ‘Holbert’)   ht. 2-4 ft., spd. 6-12 ft. Full sun, low water needs (xeric).  Silvery-blue foliage on a low-growing, widely spreading form.  Retains its attractive thought he winter.  Mostly scale-type foliate.  A beautiful and underused spreader.

JUNIPER, OLD GOLD (Juniperus chinensis ‘Old Gold’)  ht. 3-4 ft., spd. 6-12 ft.  Full sun, low water needs (xeric).  A juniper with a compact form which also boasts a slight graceful arching to the tips of the branches.  New growth has a bright golden-yellow color that deepens in the winter.  Full sun will result in its best color. 

JUNIPER, SEA GREEN (Juniperus chinensis ‘Sea Green’)  ht. 5-8 ft., spd 8-10 ft.  Full sun, low water needs (xeric).  Lush, dark green foliage with fountain-like arching branches.  The growth habit is a dense, upright vase-shape.  The same juniper as the trademarked plant “Mint Julep”.

JUNIPER, TAMI (Juniperus Sabina var. tamariscifolia) ht. 3-4 ft., spd 6-10 ft. Full sun, low water needs (xeric).  Bright medium green foliage in an asymmetrical mound with a tiered branching habit.

JUNIPER, WILTON SPREADING (BLUE RUG)  (Juniperus horizontalis ‘Wiltoni’)  ht. 4-6 inches, spd. 6-10 ft. Full sun, low water needs (xeric).  Ground hugging, spreading juniper with silver-blue foliage and berries.  Foliage turns a purplish color in winter.  Excellent evergreen groundcover for hot, dry areas, and slopes.  Will cascade over retaining walls.

JUNIPER, BLUE POINT (Juniperus chinensis ‘Blue Point’)  Ht. 8 ft., spd. 4 ft. Full sun.  Low water needs (xeric).  Keeps its natural broad, pyramidal shape without shearing.  Reaches a height of about half of most other uprights.  

JUNIPER, KETELEERI (Juniperus chinensis ‘Keteleen’)  Ht. 15-25 ft.,  Spd. 8-10 ft.  Full sun.  Low water needs (xeric).  A vigorous growing narrowly pyramidal tree that produces an abundance of blue colored berries.  Its foliage is dull to dark green throughout the seasons. 

JUNIPER, MOONGLOW (Juniperus scopulorum ‘Moonglow’)  Ht. 16-20 ft., spd. 8-12 ft.  Full sun.  Low water needs (xeric).  Broad pyramidal form.  Very showy, bright silver-blue color.

JUNIPER, ROCKY MOUNTAIN (Juniperus scopulorum)  Ht. 20-40 ft., spd. 3-15 ft.  Full sun.  Low water needs (xeric).  Typically a pyramidal tree, but can also be vase-like, or a mounding shrub with multiple stems.  The color varies from dark green to bluish-green.  A greater amount of variability, though, can occur in its winter color.  Withstands drought conditions very well.  Ubiquitous throughout the Rockies.  Many named cultivars available.

JUNIPER, SKYROCKET (Juniperus scopulorum ‘Skyrocket’)  Ht. 15-20 ft., spd. 3-4 ft.  Full sun.  Low water needs (xeric).  Blue-gray foliage on vertically growing branches that create a columnar form.  Suitable for planting where space is limited.  Can sometimes broaden with age.

 JUNIPER, SPARTAN (Juniperus chinensis ‘Spartan’)  Ht. 15-17 ft., spd 4-5 ft.  Full sun. Low water needs (xeric).  This juniper is very durable in heat, cold, salt and drought.  It will display an erect pyramidal to columnar form with fine textured dense rich green foliage.  It can be uses as a medium screen, or as a formal specimen.  Prefers well drained soils.

JUNIPER, WELCHI (Juniperus scopulorum ‘Welchi’) Ht. 15-20 ft., spd. 4-5 ft.  Full sun.  Low water needs (xeric).  Light green foliage has a slivery bluish tint.  It also has soft foliage unlike other varieties of Juniper.  This variety prefers growing in drier climates. 

JUNIPER, WICHITA BLUE (Juniperus scopulorum ‘Wichita Blue’)  Ht. 16-20 ft., spd. 8-12 ft.  Full sun,  Low water needs (xeric).  Attractive feathery, silver-blue foliage on an open form.  Does great in exposed locations.
