Heidrich’s Colorado Tree Farm Nursery is both a wholesale and retail nursery. Our goal is to provide our customers with the best quality nursery stock that is suited for our trying climate. Plants can’t originate from just any climate as they tend to thrive best when grown in similar environments. We have spent decades searching and finding the best plants and growers in the industry.

Our wholesale division has grown! Improvements have been made to make your experience easier and more efficient. A new greenhouse was built to hold your shrub and perennial orders. Starting this Spring we will have a separate entrance for wholesale customers. You and your team will use our south gate entrance for all your wholesale needs. The driveway was also widened to accommodate multiple customers, trucks and trailers, and through traffic. No more dodging other customers, our equipment, or incoming deliveries. We will be adding more rows of B&B trees that are most commonly used by wholesale customers. For now, you will still use the main office for placing your orders and to check out as in previous years. Our website and phone recording will have the current wholesale hours. We will also be offering an earlier opening time at 7:30am during the busiest part of the season.

Wholesale Customer Qualifications

Certifies that the nursery stock being purchased is being used in a horticultural business or for consumption by a federal, state, or municipal agency. This includes landscape contractors, city and government agencies, home builders, churches, etc.

Payment Options

Stock must be paid for before it leaves the nursery. We accept cash, check, or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, or Discover). No American Express currently, sorry for any inconvenience. Credit may be obtained through the completion of a credit application but must be approved before use. An established relationship on COD basis is required before credit is issued.

Tagging/Holding/Ordering Nursery Stock

  • Nursery stock can be tagged and held for up to 14 days. Material needing to be held for a longer period of time must be approved by our sales team and is not guaranteed due to space and water limitations. Due to the risk of weather such as hail, frost, high winds, etc. we prefer to not hold items longer than necessary.
  • You can email or call in orders which can be tagged and pulled for you. Otherwise we can assist whether you are on property with your customer or your customer has come in to personally choose their materials. Let us know what would work best for you.
  • All orders will require a job name (PO, customer name, or address) to ensure organization and so we can contact you with any questions. All orders will require a jobsite address. Even if they are being picked up at the nursery.
  • If you will be sending in members of your team to pick up orders that have previously been placed, please make sure they know the job name or PO. This will speed up the loading process, ensure they get the right plants for the right project, and that they don’t sit here and wait for us to get a hold of you to figure out what they need.
  • We try to operate as efficiently as possible and have found the stock looks better when it is frequently rotated. This means we don’t keep acres of material sitting at our location. We work hand in hand with our custom growers to get the highest quality plants when you need them.
  • To ensure you have the very best service we ask you place orders for plant material at least a week before you need them. In some cases, special orders will require payment in advance. This will be discussed at the time of order or during the bidding process.

Allow flexibility in your plant lists for quantities and varieties when bidding jobs as prices, availability, and materials fluctuate based on current market conditions.

 Deliveries of Stock

Frequency of deliveries is based on how busy we are, current season, and holidays. It has proven difficult to ship plants in weeks that have national holidays and can affect our ability to get trucks. This would include the weeks of Labor Day, 4th of July, and Memorial Day. If you are ordering plants you need for any of those weeks touch base with us to ensure we can get them on time.

  • Shrubs/#5 Grasses Deliveries:

Local Trucks: 1-3 times per week from mid-May through early October

Out of State Trucks: 1-2 times a week mid-May through the end of September

  • Perennials/Groundcover/#1 Grasses Deliveries:

Most of these are grown locally and we can usually have them within the week.

Local Trucks: 1-3 times per week from mid-May through early October

Out of State Trucks: 1-2 times a month mid-May through the end of September

  • Orders with more than 100 plants will be on the next scheduled truck based on availability.

If you are ordering trees and shrubs for the same job we will time our ordering and delivery so that all of your plants are here when you need them. This assuming you have planned in advance.

  • B&B Trees: Most of the acreage of our nursery is allocated to trees. All the deciduous trees we sell from February through September must be dug before they leaf out in the Spring. To have stock through the Summer and early Fall we dig as many trees as we believe we can sell, or that we physically have room for. Most of the time we can find larger container trees or above ground B&B trees to re-stock the varieties as we run out. Often times nurseries will have shortages until they can dig again, and we are no different.

Delivery & Planting

This is offered through planting companies that are independent contractors. Prices can be found on our website. We train their crews to plant to our specifications and schedule the job for them. The planting company will pick up your material and deliver or plant it at your job site. You pay the planting and delivery company directly at the time of service. They accept cash, check, or credit card.

Restocking Fee

Any plant material returned after it has left the nursery must be in perfect condition. This includes but is not limited to damaged foliage, wind burn, damaged rootballs, broken branches, dry plants, etc. Condition will be determined by one of our team members. We take great precautions to protect plants in the nursery and when we ship them, and expect the same of our customers. All returned plants will be must be approved by one of our team members. There is a 10% restocking fee for all items returned after pick up/delivery. Returns made on account will be credited back to the account. Those purchased with cash will be refunded by check within 10 days. Those purchased by check will be refunded by check within 10 days of the original check clearing our bank. Those purchased by credit card will be refunded to the same card used to make the original purchase.

Heidrich’s Colorado Tree Farm Nursery LLC guarantees all plant material to be true to name and sold in good condition. Any claims (as to condition or count) must be made immediately upon receipt. Once accepted in good condition we cannot be responsible for improper handling, planting, maintenance or damage by the elements. If any stock proves otherwise, we will not be liable for an amount greater than the original purchase price. No other guarantee is expressed or implied. If a replacement guarantee is needed plants can be purchased at the retail price level, but all the plants for that job/PO must be purchased at that price level.
